“Get Out of the Way” John McCain

In a speech last week, John McCain kept talking about the need for government to get out of the way so that it could help people.

As he spoke, I couldn’t help but laughing.

I think the senior (very senior) Senator from Arizona has forgotten about the billions of dollars to his state to build highways. He should remember how the government helped to enforce equality for African Americans. The government helped to pull the nation from the depths of poverty after the great depression. Projects such as the Hoover Dam have created the electricity that powers portions of the nations. Social reforms have assisted Americans during times of struggle.

So does he think that now, in the economic recession and housing market bubble burst that the government should “get out of the way?”

I think that John McCain should get out of the way and go back to Arizona while the democrats move in to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
